Signatures of the Seneca Endowment

A donation to the Signatures of the Seneca Endowment is an endowed gift that will be held in perpetuity, and the interest of which will go to support the construction, ongoing operation, and development of a world-class Art and Education Center designed to preserve, celebrate and share the Haudenausaunee traditions and culture for generations to come. This Center will allow Ganondagan to become a year-round educational facility that will include: Signatures of the Seneca

  • Interactive features designed to engage students and adults

  • A research library for scholars

  • Gallery space in which to display permanent and rotating exhibits

  • A multi-purpose auditorium for school presentations, speakers and a variety of art and other special events

  • Archival space for artifacts and artwork not on public display

  • Indoor and outdoor exhibits devoted to the history of lacrosse

  • Floral, herbal and other gardens incorporating traditional Seneca and Iroquois indigenous plants

A gift to an endowment offers benefits to the donor in the form of advantageous tax treatment under both state and federal laws. Depending on the type of asset given, and the type of gift arrangement selected, it is possible for a donor to enjoy savings on income taxes (including capital gain) and even transfer taxes. The income tax savings can be immediate.

Ganondagan's endowment is set up through the Finger Lakes Area Community Endowment and overseen by Ganondagan's Board of Directors as well as the Friends of Ganondagan. There are a number of ways in which you can donate to this fund. Please contact us today at 585-742-1690 or friends@frontiernet.net to get more details.
