Maple Apple Rings
4 large apples, cored & sliced into thin rings
3 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
In a large, heavy-bottomed skillet, put maple syrup, water, butter, and cinnamon. Bring to boil and add apple rings. Cook uncovered over medium heat until tender. Toss very gently and often. Add additional water as needed but water should be absorbed when apples are done. Yield: 6 servings. Serve as a side dish or dessert. Excellent if served hot over vanilla ice cream.
