Raspberry Ices

1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. crushed wild raspberries
2 tbsp. lemon juice

In a saucepan over moderate heat mix together the water and sugar. Heat to a full boil and boil for 5 minutes. Add raspberries and lemon juice. Pour the mixture into ice-cube trays or a shallow dish and place in the freezer. When water becomes slushy, stir it to reduce the size of the ice crystals. Repeat at half-hour intervals until the mixture is all coarse ice crystals. Put in the refrigerator about 15 minutes before serving. Makes: 4 - 6 servings.
