Kanienkehaka Mandalorian

The Kanienkehaka Mandalorian merges Haudenosaunee Culture, with contemporary pop culture. As a boy Arihhonni David saw himself in the character of Jango Fett, played by Temuera Morrison, a Maori actor. David believed the actor was actually a player on his fathers lacrosse team. Adored across this fictional armor, are pieces of Haudenosaunee Symbology. Symbols of the Stone Giants, Flying Heads, Wampum belts like the ever growing tree, two row wampum and haiwatha belt. The armor itself is also based on the layered armor Haudenosaunee began to wear to defend themselves shortly after European contact.
