Vase depicts multiple facets of peace. One panel represents the arrival of the Peacemaker. One panel are five arrows on a bundle representing the original 5 nations. The third panel is of the Tree of Peace with the weapons of war buried beneath the roots stretched out to the four directions. The fourth panel is of our wampum belts signifying peace within the Confederacy & peace with the Europeans.
